WNL Full Course

The WNL Full Course format can be a little complicated, but here's an abbreviated version:

Each athlete runs the entire course, and every obstacle they complete counts towards their final score; regardless of how many obstacles they fail during their run. If an athlete fails an obstacle, they move on to the next obstacle in the course, getting one attempt for each obstacle.

Each obstacle will be worth a different number of points, depending on how many athletes clear the obstacle. An obstacle that every athlete clears would only be worth one point. An obstacle that only 1 or 2 people clear, however, could be worth up to 11 points. This rewards athletes who finish the most difficult obstacles, while allowing more beginner athletes to continue their run (and earn more points) even if they fail a few obstacles along the way.

Combined WNL Tier 1/Tier 2 Competition

Both competitions are combined Tier 1/Tier 2 events. At registration, you will need to select for each athlete whether they are competing in Tier 1 or Tier 2 for the weekend.

Tier 1 is for intermediate to advanced ninjas, and is open to anyone. Tier 2 is for beginner athletes, and so the top 25% of athletes in the region are ineligible to compete in this tier.

No matter which tier you decide to compete in, you'll be in the same wave, with the same course walkthrough. The courses for the different tiers will be mostly the same, just with slight modifications to some obstacles to make them easier or harder. In each wave, the Tier 2 athletes will run first, and then the Tier 1 athletes immediately after.

This means that there will be TWO podiums for each division- one for Tier 1, and one for Tier 2.

WNL Age Divisions

There are 8 different age divisions in the WNL, and each is divided male/female, giving a total of 16 divisions. Age divisions are based on the athlete's age on January 1st, 2026. The athlete's age division will stay the same for the entire season. The age divisions are as follows:

Kids: Age 6-8
Mature Kids: Age 9-10
Preteen: Age 11-12
Teen: Age 13-14
Young Adult: Age 15-17
Adult: Age 18+
Masters: Age 40+
Elite: Age 13+
