General faq
If you’re new to Skyhook, start with our First Visit page. We’ll help you choose the right class or experience based on age, experience, and what you’re looking for.
Everyone in the gym needs a signed waiver, including parents who aren’t using the obstacles. Before your first Open Gym, book a quick 10–15 minute intro where our staff show you the equipment and safety rules. After that, adults and green belts and up can drop in anytime, while newer kids have set Open Gym hours.
All are welcome! We offer classes for a variety of ages:
Little Ninjas (3-5yo) - This is an introduction to body awareness and coordination. Kids will be running through unique obstacles every class and get an opportunity to spend a portion of their time in the other areas of the gym.
Bridge Program (5-8yo) - Perfect for those kids that age out of the Little ninja program but aren’t quite developed enough to find success in the big kid classes
Parkour/Ninja/Climbing/Aerial Silks (6yo+) - These are our main classes focused on skill progression, available to kids 6+
Adults (14yo+) - These classes are run by separate coaches and the minimum age allows for more activity with less need to stop for youth discipline
Open Gym (6yo+) - Full access to the facility to participate in the area of your choice.
Team and Team Prep programs (6-17) - This is our competitive team program that is focused on rapid skill progression and performance at competitions.
All are welcome! We offer classes for a variety of ages:

- Open Gym (6+): Free access to explore any area of the gym.

Comfortable, loose-fitting clothes and closed-toe athletic shoes with good grip. Shoes stay on the whole time, except in Aerial Silks. Please skip zippers, hoodies and jewelry, as they can tear the silks.
We have a drinking fountain, and bottled water for sale, but you are welcome to bring your own water!
We’re at 12008 SW Garden Pl, next to the Jacuzzi place with the white vans. After the bend on SW Garden Pl, turn left at the stop sign and take the first driveway on the right. We’re the second unit on the right. Please park in the Skyhook spots or at the end of the drive.
It is highly recommended that you sign up for class ahead of time, they can fill up. This will also help our coaches have an accurate estimate of the number of kids to plan the lesson around.
You can send an email to our staff, but be aware chances are the answer is no. The email address is infostaff@skyhookfitness.com. If money is the main concern please reach out about our Pay What You Can Program. It is in its infancy but the goal is to allow people of all economic backgrounds access to our amazing life changing programs.
They are our ninja belts, the class leveling system our ninjas go through as they train at Skyhook. You get your white belt once you are enrolled in a class taking membership! These function similar to Martial Arts belts, giving kids a sense of progression that will help them engaged in their time at skyhook. Some obstacles and classes are belt restricted in order to ensure the safety of all participants.

TRAIN faq
To start off it is a great idea to take at least one class in each of the disciplines to get a feel for them all and see if one grabs your child’s attention the most.
The belting system we employ asks students to show skills in climbing, parkour, and ninja. If they are able to demonstrate the skills required for their belt level they will receive a tape. This will indicate mastery of the skills of the discipline for their current belt level. This can help you pick a class for your child that will help their progression through the belting system.
Yes, we have trainers that can help you improve any area of fitness or skill that we offer.
We have a 800 square feet space dedicated to fitness, with weights, a squat rack, cardio equipment, and much more. You will need a membership in order to use the facility however.
Parkour: This is the art of moving your body through an environment as interestingly as possible using running, jumping, climbing, and vaulting over and around obstacles and bars.
Bouldering: Bouldering is a sub discipline of rock climbing that does not involve ropes but rather climbing over padding. Unlike most climbing gyms we design our climbing routes for kids so they are able to find success.
Ninja: Much like the show Ninja Warrior these are primarily upper body obstacles with lots of swinging, jumping, lacheing, and, climbing on things.
Silks: Circus arts aerial silks classes. Learn how to perform silks technique with fluidity and a smooth flow of motion. Some climbing and ninja classes recommended first to demonstrate the strength required for silks.
Little Ninja: Our 3-5 year old classes focus on body awareness and coordination and involve soft obstacle courses and guided experiences on the parkour floor and in the climbing area
Bridge Program: This class for 5-8 year olds is for those who have ages out of little ninjas but are not quite developmentally ready the normal 6+ year old classes

Adults are welcome to be in classes but you certainly don’t have to be. We offer some adult only classes if watching your kid has peaked your interest or if you don't have kids and still want to become a ninja. If you want to be more involved with your kid we also offer family classes, which are a great way to bond and spend quality time together.
Kids classes are for kids to learn and grow. Adult classes are tailored for the adults in the class, the exact right level of challenge for you to push you, but still keep you safe. Family classes are a little bit inbetween, and are aimed to help families spend quality time together.
Play faq
It depends on how you’re here! Camps are drop-off, so parents do not need to stay. Birthday parties are staffed by our coaches, though additional parent supervision can be helpful with larger groups. During Open Gym, parents are responsible for ACTIVELY supervising their children, with a 1:3 adult-to-child ratio.
Classes are coach led, and once you are a member, you don't need to stay! That being said, we like it when families stick around to watch the first week or two; just long enough to get to know and love us, before they take off.
Not necessarily, but everyone needs to know how to use the gym safely first. A class is the best introduction. If that doesn’t fit your schedule, contact us to book a quick gym intro with our staff.
Absolutely! Each party includes 50–60 minutes of coach-led ninja fun, 30 minutes of Open Gym (ages 6+) and 30 minutes in a private party room. We handle the ninja fun, you bring the party!
That’s completely okay! No strength or experience needed, as our obstacles adapt to every age and skill level. If your child needs extra support or accommodations, contact us before your visit and we’ll help you find the best way to start.
Team program faq
There is a rolling entry for the team program if an athlete is skilled enough, shows interest, and space is available. The cost of the program will be pro rated to the duration of the season (try outs and sign ups are in September)
If you want to join the program outside of the normal tryout window, take some classes with Coach Gavin, the head of our team program, and let him and the front desk know you are interested in joining the program. While we can't make any promises, as the program is often wait listed, we try our best to create opportunities for kids who work hard and try their best.
We usually host a 2-4 WNL competitions a year that are mandatory for Team and Team prep kids. The kids on our team program are expected to participate in regional competitions as well and are expected to be focused on competitive performance.
Practice is three times a week for our higher division team and twice a week for the lower division team. The Upper division classes are on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 - 8:15 and Friday from 6:20 - 7:45 or 7:30 - 9:00 depending on you placement in the program. The lower division team has practice from 6:30 - 8:15 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Friday practices are course runs where athletes will be run through a mock competition.
Team and Team prep is a year long commitment.
There is a rolling entry for the team program if anathlete is skilled enough, shows interest, and space is available. The cost of the program will be pro rated to the duration of the season (try outs and sign ups are in September)
There are 70 available slots in the Team Program. Team is split into an upper division and a lower division and Practice dates change based on which program you get into. The lower division has practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays while the upper division has practice Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Both divisions are split into 3 groups and are organized in a fashion to maximize skill progression and create groups that work well together and share similar body sizes, this allows the coaches to create more beneficial lesson plans for all the kids they coach in a practice
Both the higher and lower divisions of our Team program operates on a bi-weekly rotation of practices (Mon-Thurs). The upper and lower division are split into three groups to maximize skill prograssion and allow coaches to create more nuanced lesson plans. The three groups rotate between Parkour, Ninja, and Climbing over the course of 3 practices with the final practice of the bi-weekly rotation focusing on course running skills . This gives them the opportunity to cross train and develop a well rounded skill set in relevant disciplines all with the focus of performing well in Ninja competitions and having fun while doing it!

Absolutely! Schools love partnering with Skyhook, we offer single Fundraiser days, where we share a portion of the procedes from any visitors that day. We also frequently run special events for schools that have already met their fundraising goals, primarily by advertising that if they hit their target, the kids get to come to Skyhook!
We also partner with local schools, afterschool programs, churches, and other organizations to help run PE classes and more. Just ask, and we would be thrilled to work with you!
Feel free to give us a shout, we are happy to work with your organization, and help you and your employees stay healthy and happy. Whether you are looking for memberships, or a special group personal training, we are happy to work with you.
We have had upwards of 150+ people in the gym at a time before, and everyone had a great time. Larger events do require more notice, so we can provide appropriate coaching and staffing.
That’s completely okay! You don’t need to be strong, athletic, or experienced to get started. Our obstacles can be adapted for different ages, abilities, and skill levels so make sure everyone has fun, stays safe, and leaves smiling.
Yes, as long as you are willing to book outside of our normal open hours, or at least as long as you book outside of our peak hours. In rare cases, we make exceptions to that rule, but it requires advanced notice, and a large check.
